What HESK costs over 36 months

Every figure below is HESK's own published rate, annualised and multiplied out over 36 months at 1 account. Where HESK publishes no rate, the row says so instead of guessing.

Plan Charged List rate At 1 account 36 months
HESK Website License One-time licence $4,999 once $0/mo $4,999
HESK Advanced License One-time licence $19,999 once $0/mo $19,999

What sits outside the HESK list price

4 lines, sorted by when in the contract lifecycle they land. Lines marked as derived are arithmetic on HESK's own tier table rather than vendor prose.

Each line, what triggers it, and how to avoid it

Tax, FX and payment processing

Stated on the pricing page: VAT/GST/sales tax added at checkout

What triggers it. Triggered by where you buy from and how you pay. HESK's published perpetual one-time license (self-hosted) sets the list rate; jurisdiction and payment rail set what sits on top of it.

How to avoid it. Ask for a tax-inclusive quote in your own currency. Cross-border billing on a three-year term is where FX drift quietly eats a discount you negotiated once.

Infrastructure and hosting

Stated on the pricing page: Hosting, SSL, and maintenance are buyer responsibility

What triggers it. Scales with what you store and move, not with headcount. HESK prices the plan at — a month for 1 account; this line prices the bytes underneath it, so it grows on a completely different curve to the $4,999 subscription.

How to avoid it. If a self-hosted option exists, price your own infrastructure and staff time against HESK's hosted rate honestly. Self-hosting moves cost, it rarely removes it.

Paid add-on or module

Stated on the pricing page: HESK Cloud SaaS tier sold separately

What triggers it. A separately-priced module. It stacks on top of the plan rate for as long as you keep it, and on a per-unit add-on it also scales with the 1 account basis.

How to avoid it. Bundle the add-ons into the initial negotiation. They are discounted far more readily at first signature than when added in year two as a mid-term upsell.

Feature gated to a higher tier

Derived from the published tiers: Moving from HESK Website License to HESK Advanced License costs a further $15,000 over 36 months at 1 account, which is 4.0x the entry total.

What triggers it. A gate rather than a fee. It costs nothing until the day it costs a full tier upgrade, and it invalidates the $4,999 figure above the moment it does.

How to avoid it. List every gated capability you will plausibly need in three years, then price HESK at that tier from the start. Comparing entry tiers you will not stay on is how a $4,999 plan becomes a much larger invoice.

How that compares across customer support and helpdesk software

The median customer support and helpdesk software tool we track charges $23.50 a month at its cheapest paid tier. Re-expressed on the same basis as the figure above, 1 account for 36 months, that median works out at $846.

HESK lands $4,153 above that figure, 490.9%, measured across 60 tracked tools. A gap either way is a question, not a verdict: cheaper often means fewer included seats or a thinner support tier, and the fee lines below are where that difference usually reappears.

What changes at enterprise scale

Everything above prices the self-serve ladder. Enterprise sits off that ladder, which means the $4,999 figure is a floor for a large deployment rather than an estimate of one.

Advanced license is the de facto enterprise option; major version upgrades historically have separate upgrade fees.

Frequently asked questions

How much does HESK cost over three years?

$4,999 on HESK Website License at 1 account, billed annually, which is — a month held flat for 36 months. That figure covers the subscription only.

Does paying HESK annually save money?

HESK publishes the same effective rate either way on HESK Website License, so there is no prepay discount to capture. Keep the monthly option unless the vendor offers something for the commitment.

What does HESK charge for outside the plan price?

4 lines: tax, fx and payment processing, infrastructure and hosting, paid add-on or module, feature gated to a higher tier. Each one is broken down above with what triggers it and how to avoid it.

Could HESK cost more at renewal?

HESK charges HESK Website License once rather than on a subscription, so there is no annual renewal to be uplifted. The exposure is in support, upgrades and version entitlements instead.

Is HESK expensive for customer support and helpdesk software?

Over 36 months it lands $4,153 above the $846 category median, measured across 60 tracked tools on the same basis.
