What Netlify costs over 36 months

Every figure below is Netlify's own published rate, annualised and multiplied out over 36 months at 10 members. Where Netlify publishes no rate, the row says so instead of guessing.

Plan Charged List rate At 10 members 36 months
Free Free $0 $0/mo $0
Pro Per member, per month $19/mo $190/mo $6,840
Enterprise Sales-led Custom quote, not published n/a Custom quote, not published

The same plan at four team sizes

Netlify charges per member, so the 36-month figure scales linearly with headcount. These are Pro totals, on annual billing, with no fees added.

Team size36-month total
5 members $3,420
10 members $6,840
25 members $17,100
50 members $34,200

1 tier is sales-led (Enterprise), so it carries no figure here.

Renewal sensitivity: three scenarios, not a forecast

Nobody knows what Netlify charges in 2029. The table below is arithmetic on a rate you choose, not a prediction: it compounds the year-one total forward at 0%, 5% and 10% so you can see how much of the 36-month figure is exposed to a renewal you have not negotiated yet.

If the rateYear 1Year 2Year 3Three-year total
Held flat $2,280 $2,280 $2,280 $6,840
5% a year $2,280 $2,394 $2,513.70 $7,187.70
10% a year $2,280 $2,508 $2,758.80 $7,546.80

Scenario arithmetic on Netlify's own published year-one figure. Uplift rates are illustrative inputs, not observed or predicted rates.

Each line, what triggers it, and how to avoid it

Infrastructure and hosting

Stated on the pricing page: Bandwidth, build minutes, functions, forms, analytics, and enterprise controls can add cost.

What triggers it. Scales with what you store and move, not with headcount. Netlify prices the plan at $190 a month for 10 members; this line prices the bytes underneath it, so it grows on a completely different curve to the $6,840 subscription.

How to avoid it. If a self-hosted option exists, price your own infrastructure and staff time against Netlify's hosted rate honestly. Self-hosting moves cost, it rarely removes it.

Unpublished pricing

Derived from the published tiers: 1 of 3 Netlify tiers publish no price (Enterprise). No total on this page includes them.

What triggers it. Opacity rather than expense. It may cost nothing; the point is that neither you nor this page can currently tell, and a three-year commitment deserves better than that.

How to avoid it. Ask for it in writing, itemised, before shortlisting. A vendor that will not put a number on a component at evaluation stage rarely gets more forthcoming after signature.

Trial and free-tier conversion

Derived from the published tiers: Netlify publishes a free tier. Every 36-month figure above starts from the month you leave it, not from signup.

What triggers it. Fires when free stops being free. Worth mapping precisely, because free-tier limits are where frontend cloud tools do most of their upgrade engineering.

How to avoid it. Ask for the trial to be extended to cover a full billing cycle of real use. Vendors grant this far more often than buyers ask.

Seat expansion

Derived from the published tiers: Five more members on Pro add $3,420 across 36 months, on top of the $6,840 above.

What triggers it. Growth is the trigger. Because Netlify bills on a member pricing plus usage, adding people mid-term adds cost on the original rate card, not on whatever you negotiated once.

How to avoid it. Price your year-three headcount now, not today's. Negotiating the $6,840 commitment at the size you expect to be is how you avoid buying seats twice.

How that compares across developer platforms, hosting, and dev tooling

The median developer platforms, hosting, and dev tooling tool we track charges $20 a month at its cheapest paid tier. Re-expressed on the same basis as the figure above, 10 members for 36 months, that median works out at $7,200.

Netlify lands $360 below that figure, 5.0%, measured across 61 tracked tools. A gap either way is a question, not a verdict: cheaper often means fewer included seats or a thinner support tier, and the fee lines below are where that difference usually reappears.

What changes at enterprise scale

Everything above prices the self-serve ladder. Enterprise sits off that ladder, which means the $6,840 figure is a floor for a large deployment rather than an estimate of one.

Normalize against Vercel by bandwidth, build, and serverless usage.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Netlify cost over three years?

$6,840 on Pro at 10 members, billed annually, which is $190 a month held flat for 36 months. That figure covers the subscription only.

Does paying Netlify annually save money?

Netlify publishes the same effective rate either way on Pro, so there is no prepay discount to capture. Keep the monthly option unless the vendor offers something for the commitment.

What does Netlify charge for outside the plan price?

4 lines: infrastructure and hosting, unpublished pricing, trial and free-tier conversion, seat expansion. Each one is broken down above with what triggers it and how to avoid it.

Could Netlify cost more at renewal?

Possibly, and nothing on this page predicts it. If the rate held flat the three-year total would be $6,840; at a hypothetical 10% a year it would be $7,546.80. Cap the uplift in the contract and the question stops mattering.

What does Netlify cost for a team of 25?

$17,100 over 36 months on Pro, billed annually. Netlify charges per member, so that scales directly with headcount.
