LogRocket true cost: the 36-month total
LogRocket costs $2,484 over 36 months on Team at 1 account, billed annually, before 5 cost lines that sit outside the plan price.
What LogRocket costs over 36 months
Every figure below is LogRocket's own published rate, annualised and multiplied out over 36 months at 1 account. Where LogRocket publishes no rate, the row says so instead of guessing.
1 tier is sales-led (Enterprise), so it carries no figure here.
Renewal sensitivity: three scenarios, not a forecast
Nobody knows what LogRocket charges in 2029. The table below is arithmetic on a rate you choose, not a prediction: it compounds the year-one total forward at 0%, 5% and 10% so you can see how much of the 36-month figure is exposed to a renewal you have not negotiated yet.
Scenario arithmetic on LogRocket's own published year-one figure. Uplift rates are illustrative inputs, not observed or predicted rates.
What sits outside the LogRocket list price
5 lines, sorted by when in the contract lifecycle they land. Lines marked as derived are arithmetic on LogRocket's own tier table rather than vendor prose.
Each line, what triggers it, and how to avoid it
Paid add-on or module
Stated on the pricing page: Conditional Recording, Feedback, and Issue Management billed as add-ons
What triggers it. A separately-priced module. It stacks on top of the plan rate for as long as you keep it, and on a per-unit add-on it also scales with the 1 account basis.
How to avoid it. Bundle the add-ons into the initial negotiation. They are discounted far more readily at first signature than when added in year two as a mid-term upsell.
Contract and commitment terms
Stated on the pricing page: Professional tier requires annual commitment
What triggers it. Contract mechanics rather than a fee. They decide whether the $2,484 total is locked, and how expensive changing your mind in month 14 turns out to be.
How to avoid it. Negotiate the exit, not just the entry: termination for convenience, a downgrade path, and what happens to prepaid money. Those clauses cost nothing at signature and everything later.
Unpublished pricing
Derived from the published tiers: 1 of 4 LogRocket tiers publish no price (Enterprise). No total on this page includes them.
What triggers it. Opacity rather than expense. It may cost nothing; the point is that neither you nor this page can currently tell, and a three-year commitment deserves better than that.
How to avoid it. Benchmark it against a rival that does publish. Public pricing is bargaining power, and session replay and product analytics has enough transparent vendors to make the comparison real.
Trial and free-tier conversion
Derived from the published tiers: LogRocket publishes a free tier. Every 36-month figure above starts from the month you leave it, not from signup.
What triggers it. Triggered by the trial expiring or a free-tier limit being crossed. The $2,484 figure above starts counting from that moment, not from signature.
How to avoid it. Diarise the conversion date and the cancellation route on day one. An unmanaged trial converting to Team is the cheapest mistake on this page to prevent and the most common one to make.
Feature gated to a higher tier
Derived from the published tiers: Moving from Team to Professional costs a further $8,136 over 36 months at 1 account, which is 4.3x the entry total.
What triggers it. Triggered by needing one feature, not by growing. This is the mechanism that moves teams off Team: a single requirement that only exists further up the ladder, at a rate that applies to every unit you buy.
How to avoid it. Test the gated feature during evaluation rather than trusting the comparison table. Capability names travel further than capabilities do.
How that compares across observability, monitoring, and incident response
The median observability, monitoring, and incident response tool we track charges $25 a month at its cheapest paid tier. Re-expressed on the same basis as the figure above, 1 account for 36 months, that median works out at $900.
LogRocket lands $1,584 above that figure, 176.0%, measured across 17 tracked tools. A gap either way is a question, not a verdict: cheaper often means fewer included seats or a thinner support tier, and the fee lines below are where that difference usually reappears.
What changes at enterprise scale
Everything above prices the self-serve ladder. Enterprise sits off that ladder, which means the $2,484 figure is a floor for a large deployment rather than an estimate of one.
Enterprise adds unlimited seats, self-hosted deployment, and free pilot before annual commit.
Frequently asked questions
How much does LogRocket cost over three years?
$2,484 on Team at 1 account, billed annually, which is $69 a month held flat for 36 months. That figure covers the subscription only.
Does paying LogRocket annually save money?
LogRocket publishes the same effective rate either way on Team, so there is no prepay discount to capture. Keep the monthly option unless the vendor offers something for the commitment.
What does LogRocket charge for outside the plan price?
5 lines: paid add-on or module, contract and commitment terms, unpublished pricing, trial and free-tier conversion and 1 more. Each one is broken down above with what triggers it and how to avoid it.
Could LogRocket cost more at renewal?
Possibly, and nothing on this page predicts it. If the rate held flat the three-year total would be $2,484; at a hypothetical 10% a year it would be $2,740.68. Cap the uplift in the contract and the question stops mattering.
Is LogRocket expensive for observability, monitoring, and incident response?
Over 36 months it lands $1,584 above the $900 category median, measured across 17 tracked tools on the same basis.
