What Condens costs over 36 months

Every figure below is Condens's own published rate, annualised and multiplied out over 36 months at 10 contributors. Where Condens publishes no rate, the row says so instead of guessing.

Plan Charged List rate At 10 contributors 36 months
Lite Per contributor, per month $15/mo $150/mo $5,400
Business Flat, per month $500/mo $500/mo $18,000

Billing Condens monthly instead of annually costs $160 a month rather than $150, a difference of $360 across the 36 months. That is the single largest lever on this page that costs nothing to pull.

The same plan at four team sizes

Condens charges per contributor, so the 36-month figure scales linearly with headcount. These are Lite totals, on annual billing, with no fees added.

Team size36-month total
5 contributors $2,700
10 contributors $5,400
25 contributors $13,500
50 contributors $27,000

Renewal sensitivity: three scenarios, not a forecast

Nobody knows what Condens charges in 2029. The table below is arithmetic on a rate you choose, not a prediction: it compounds the year-one total forward at 0%, 5% and 10% so you can see how much of the 36-month figure is exposed to a renewal you have not negotiated yet.

If the rateYear 1Year 2Year 3Three-year total
Held flat $1,800 $1,800 $1,800 $5,400
5% a year $1,800 $1,890 $1,984.50 $5,674.50
10% a year $1,800 $1,980 $2,178 $5,958

Each line, what triggers it, and how to avoid it

Seat expansion

Stated on the pricing page: Extra contributors EUR 15 to 85/month depending on plan

What triggers it. Growth is the trigger. Because Condens bills on a per-contributor monthly with viewer seats, adding people mid-term adds cost on the original rate card, not on whatever you negotiated once.

How to avoid it. Get expansion pricing fixed in the order form for the full term. Without it, seats added in month 20 are quoted at list.

Paid add-on or module

Stated on the pricing page: AI search add-on for Slack and Teams sold separately

What triggers it. A separately-priced module. It stacks on top of the plan rate for as long as you keep it, and on a per-unit add-on it also scales with the 10 contributors basis.

How to avoid it. Review attached add-ons at each anniversary. Modules bought for one project keep billing long after the project ends.

Paid add-on or module

Stated on the pricing page: SSO and HIPAA sold as paid add-ons

What triggers it. A separately-priced module. It stacks on top of the plan rate for as long as you keep it, and on a per-unit add-on it also scales with the 10 contributors basis.

How to avoid it. Review attached add-ons at each anniversary. Modules bought for one project keep billing long after the project ends.

Tax, FX and payment processing

Stated on the pricing page: Pricing displayed in EUR, USD billed at conversion rate

What triggers it. This lands on the invoice, not the price page. Condens quotes $150 a month for 10 contributors net of it, so the number you approve in a business case and the number finance pays reconcile only after tax and card handling are added.

How to avoid it. Ask for a tax-inclusive quote in your own currency. Cross-border billing on a three-year term is where FX drift quietly eats a discount you negotiated once.

Contract and commitment terms

Derived from the published tiers: Condens Lite is $160 a month billed monthly against $150 on annual commitment, a $360 difference over 36 months at 10 contributors.

What triggers it. Contract mechanics rather than a fee. They decide whether the $5,400 total is locked, and how expensive changing your mind in month 14 turns out to be.

How to avoid it. Price both routes before choosing. Committing three years to Condens for a discount is only rational if your user research requirement is genuinely stable that long.

Feature gated to a higher tier

Derived from the published tiers: Moving from Lite to Business costs a further $12,600 over 36 months at 10 contributors, which is 3.3x the entry total.

What triggers it. Triggered by needing one feature, not by growing. This is the mechanism that moves teams off Lite: a single requirement that only exists further up the ladder, at a rate that applies to every unit you buy.

How to avoid it. List every gated capability you will plausibly need in three years, then price Condens at that tier from the start. Comparing entry tiers you will not stay on is how a $5,400 plan becomes a much larger invoice.

How that compares across product analytics and behavioral analytics

The median product analytics and behavioral analytics tool we track charges $21 a month at its cheapest paid tier. Re-expressed on the same basis as the figure above, 10 contributors for 36 months, that median works out at $7,560.

Condens lands $2,160 below that figure, 28.6%, measured across 11 tracked tools. A gap either way is a question, not a verdict: cheaper often means fewer included seats or a thinner support tier, and the fee lines below are where that difference usually reappears.

What changes at enterprise scale

Everything above prices the self-serve ladder. Enterprise sits off that ladder, which means the $5,400 figure is a floor for a large deployment rather than an estimate of one.

Enterprise tier is custom-quoted with minimum 5 contributors and unlimited viewers.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Condens cost over three years?

$5,400 on Lite at 10 contributors, billed annually, which is $150 a month held flat for 36 months. That figure covers the subscription only.

Does paying Condens annually save money?

Yes. Monthly billing costs $160 a month against $150 on annual commitment, a difference of $360 over 36 months at 10 contributors.

What does Condens charge for outside the plan price?

6 lines: seat expansion, paid add-on or module, paid add-on or module, tax, fx and payment processing and 2 more. Each one is broken down above with what triggers it and how to avoid it.

Could Condens cost more at renewal?

Possibly, and nothing on this page predicts it. If the rate held flat the three-year total would be $5,400; at a hypothetical 10% a year it would be $5,958. Cap the uplift in the contract and the question stops mattering.

What does Condens cost for a team of 25?

$13,500 over 36 months on Lite, billed annually. Condens charges per contributor, so that scales directly with headcount.
