What Aha! costs over 36 months

Every figure below is Aha!'s own published rate, annualised and multiplied out over 36 months at 10 users. Where Aha! publishes no rate, the row says so instead of guessing.

Plan Charged List rate At 10 users 36 months
Aha! Whiteboards Per user, per month $9/mo $90/mo $3,240
Aha! Develop Per user, per month $9/mo $90/mo $3,240
Aha! Knowledge Per user, per month $18/mo $180/mo $6,480
Aha! Ideas Per user, per month $39/mo $390/mo $14,040
Aha! Discovery Per user, per month $39/mo $390/mo $14,040
Aha! Roadmaps Per user, per month $59/mo $590/mo $21,240
Aha! Builder Per user, per month $59/mo $590/mo $21,240

The same plan at four team sizes

Aha! charges per user, so the 36-month figure scales linearly with headcount. These are Aha! Whiteboards totals, on annual billing, with no fees added.

Team size36-month total
5 users $1,620
10 users $3,240
25 users $8,100
50 users $16,200

Renewal sensitivity: three scenarios, not a forecast

Nobody knows what Aha! charges in 2029. The table below is arithmetic on a rate you choose, not a prediction: it compounds the year-one total forward at 0%, 5% and 10% so you can see how much of the 36-month figure is exposed to a renewal you have not negotiated yet.

If the rateYear 1Year 2Year 3Three-year total
Held flat $1,080 $1,080 $1,080 $3,240
5% a year $1,080 $1,134 $1,190.70 $3,404.70
10% a year $1,080 $1,188 $1,306.80 $3,574.80

Each line, what triggers it, and how to avoid it

Paid add-on or module

Stated on the pricing page: Ideas Advanced add-on costs $20-$25/user/month.

What triggers it. Fires on adoption, not on signature. Aha! prices the platform at $90 a month for 10 users and the pieces separately, which is why quoted comparisons between tools so rarely describe the same scope.

How to avoid it. Review attached add-ons at each anniversary. Modules bought for one project keep billing long after the project ends.

Support and SLA

Stated on the pricing page: Annual pricing only confirmed by emailing support.

What triggers it. Support is a separate product here. The Aha! Whiteboards plan buys the software at $90 a month for 10 users; response times, named contacts and any uptime commitment are priced apart from it.

How to avoid it. Get the response-time definition in the order form, with what counts as a P1. "Priority support" with no stated clock is a marketing phrase, not a commitment.

Feature gated to a higher tier

Derived from the published tiers: Moving from Aha! Whiteboards to Aha! Builder costs a further $18,000 over 36 months at 10 users, which is 6.6x the entry total.

What triggers it. Triggered by needing one feature, not by growing. This is the mechanism that moves teams off Aha! Whiteboards: a single requirement that only exists further up the ladder, at a rate that applies to every unit you buy.

How to avoid it. List every gated capability you will plausibly need in three years, then price Aha! at that tier from the start. Comparing entry tiers you will not stay on is how a $3,240 plan becomes a much larger invoice.

Seat expansion

Derived from the published tiers: Five more users on Aha! Whiteboards add $1,620 across 36 months, on top of the $3,240 above.

What triggers it. Triggered by hiring. Every figure above is priced at 10 users; this line is what each unit past that costs, and it compounds for the remainder of the term rather than the remainder of the month.

How to avoid it. Get expansion pricing fixed in the order form for the full term. Without it, seats added in month 20 are quoted at list.

How that compares across project management software

The median project management software tool we track charges $9 a month at its cheapest paid tier. Re-expressed on the same basis as the figure above, 10 users for 36 months, that median works out at $3,240.

Aha! lands $0 below that figure, 0.0%, measured across 30 tracked tools. A gap either way is a question, not a verdict: cheaper often means fewer included seats or a thinner support tier, and the fee lines below are where that difference usually reappears.

What changes at enterprise scale

Everything above prices the self-serve ladder. Enterprise sits off that ladder, which means the $3,240 figure is a floor for a large deployment rather than an estimate of one.

Aha! Builder offers enterprise-grade governance; annual contracts negotiated through sales.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Aha! cost over three years?

$3,240 on Aha! Whiteboards at 10 users, billed annually, which is $90 a month held flat for 36 months. That figure covers the subscription only.

Does paying Aha! annually save money?

Aha! publishes the same effective rate either way on Aha! Whiteboards, so there is no prepay discount to capture. Keep the monthly option unless the vendor offers something for the commitment.

What does Aha! charge for outside the plan price?

4 lines: paid add-on or module, support and sla, feature gated to a higher tier, seat expansion. Each one is broken down above with what triggers it and how to avoid it.

Could Aha! cost more at renewal?

Possibly, and nothing on this page predicts it. If the rate held flat the three-year total would be $3,240; at a hypothetical 10% a year it would be $3,574.80. Cap the uplift in the contract and the question stops mattering.

What does Aha! cost for a team of 25?

$8,100 over 36 months on Aha! Whiteboards, billed annually. Aha! charges per user, so that scales directly with headcount.
